Welcome to Zaniture. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, products, services, and purchases made through our online store. By accessing our website or placing an order with Zaniture, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order.
1. About Zaniture
Zaniture is an online furniture and household goods store operating in South Africa, with an initial focus on Stellenbosch and selected surrounding areas in the Western Cape. Our business model includes the sale and delivery of furniture, appliances, and related household products through selected suppliers and delivery partners.
Store name: Zaniture

2. Use of the website
By using this website, you confirm that:
- You are legally able to enter into a binding transaction;
- The information you provide is accurate and complete;
- You will not use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activities;
- You will not attempt to interfere with the security, operation, or functionality of the website.
Zaniture may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the website if misuse, fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity is suspected.
3. Products and product information
Zaniture aims to display product information, descriptions, images, prices, dimensions, colours, and availability as accurately as possible.
However, product images are for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product due to lighting, screen display settings, supplier image quality, product updates, or natural variation in materials.
Product dimensions, colours, finishes, and specifications should be checked carefully before placing an order. Customers are responsible for confirming that items will fit into their intended space, including doorways, staircases, lifts, rooms, and delivery access routes.
4. Product availability
All orders are subject to stock availability.
Because Zaniture may work with suppliers and delivery partners, a product displayed on the website may become unavailable after an order is placed. If this happens, Zaniture will contact the customer as soon as reasonably possible and may offer one of the following:
- A suitable alternative product;
- A delayed delivery date;
- A replacement option;
- A refund where applicable.
Zaniture reserves the right to cancel an order if the product is unavailable, incorrectly listed, incorrectly priced, or cannot reasonably be supplied.
5. Pricing
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Zaniture aims to ensure that all prices are accurate. However, errors may occur. If a product is incorrectly priced due to a technical, supplier, or administrative error, Zaniture reserves the right to correct the price, cancel the order, or contact the customer before processing the order.
Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude any optional delivery, installation, assembly, or additional service fees.
6. Orders
An order is placed when the customer completes checkout and submits the order through the website.
After placing an order, the customer may receive an automated order confirmation email. This email confirms that the order has been received, but it does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted or fulfilled.
Zaniture may need to verify product availability, payment status, delivery address, delivery feasibility, or other order details before confirming fulfilment.
7. Payment
Customers must pay the full order amount using the available payment methods shown at checkout. Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully received or confirmed, unless Zaniture has expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Zaniture is not responsible for delays caused by payment gateway issues, bank processing delays, failed transactions, incorrect payment details, or third-party payment service interruptions.
8. Delivery area
Zaniture’s initial delivery service is focused on Stellenbosch and selected surrounding areas in the Western Cape.
Delivery availability is based on the customer’s address and postcode. Customers outside Zaniture’s active delivery area may not be able to complete checkout or may need to contact Zaniture before placing an order.
Zaniture may expand, reduce, or change its delivery areas at any time.
9. Same-day delivery
Where available, same-day delivery may be offered within Zaniture’s approved local delivery zone.
Same-day delivery is subject to:
- Product availability;
- Payment confirmation;
- Delivery address;
- Delivery schedule;
- Vehicle availability;
- Order time;
- Weather, traffic, safety, or operational conditions.
Same-day delivery is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed by Zaniture after the order has been reviewed.
10. Delivery fees
Delivery fees are shown during checkout where applicable.
Zaniture may offer free delivery for orders above a specified minimum order value. The free delivery threshold may change from time to time.
Delivery charges may apply to orders below the free delivery threshold, special delivery arrangements, difficult access locations, failed deliveries, or additional delivery attempts.
11. Delivery access and customer responsibilities
Customers must ensure that:
- The delivery address is accurate and complete;
- Someone is available to receive the order at the agreed delivery time;
- There is safe and reasonable access to the delivery location;
- The product can fit through doors, passages, staircases, lifts, and entryways;
- Building access rules, estate rules, parking limitations, and security requirements are communicated in advance.
If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information, access problems, customer unavailability, or circumstances outside Zaniture’s control, additional delivery fees may apply.
12. Inspection on delivery
Customers are encouraged to inspect products upon delivery before signing or confirming receipt.
If an item is visibly damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or defective on delivery, the customer should report the issue immediately to the delivery team where possible and contact Zaniture at [email protected] within 48 hours.
Customers should provide:
- Order number;
- Clear photos of the product;
- Photos of packaging where relevant;
- A description of the issue.
13. Risk and ownership
Risk in the goods passes to the customer once the goods have been delivered to the delivery address and received by the customer or a person authorised to receive the order.
Ownership of goods remains with Zaniture or its supplier until full payment has been received.
14. Returns, refunds, and exchanges
Zaniture handles returns, refunds, and exchanges in line with applicable South African consumer protection principles.
If goods are defective, unsafe, not of acceptable quality, not reasonably suitable for their intended purpose, or not as described, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement, exchange, or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Customers must notify Zaniture as soon as possible after discovering an issue.
15. Damaged, defective, or incorrect goods
If a product is delivered damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from what was ordered, the customer must contact Zaniture at [email protected] as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery.
Zaniture may inspect the product or request photos and supporting information before approving a remedy.
Where the issue is confirmed and the customer is legally entitled to a remedy, Zaniture may arrange a repair, replacement, exchange, collection, or refund.
16. Change-of-mind returns
Because furniture and appliances are bulky products involving delivery, handling, and supplier costs, change-of-mind returns are not automatically guaranteed.
Zaniture may consider change-of-mind returns at its discretion if:
- The item is unused;
- The item is undamaged;
- The item is in its original condition;
- The item includes all accessories, manuals, and packaging where applicable;
- The return request is made within a reasonable time;
- The product is not a custom, clearance, special-order, assembled, used, or hygiene-sensitive item.
Approved change-of-mind returns may be subject to delivery, collection, handling, restocking, or administrative charges.
17. Non-returnable items
Unless defective or incorrectly supplied, the following items may not be eligible for return:
- Custom, special-order, or made-to-order items;
- Clearance, marked-down, or final-sale items where this was clearly disclosed;
- Items damaged by misuse, negligence, incorrect assembly, or customer handling;
- Items altered, modified, installed, or assembled after delivery;
- Items with missing parts, packaging, manuals, or accessories due to customer handling;
- Items damaged due to unsuitable storage, exposure, or use.
18. Refund processing
Approved refunds will usually be processed using the original payment method where possible.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider, bank, or payment gateway.
Zaniture may deduct applicable delivery, collection, handling, or other lawful charges from refunds where permitted and where the return is not due to Zaniture’s fault or a product defect.
19. Cancellations
Customers may request cancellation of an order by contacting Zaniture as soon as possible.
If the order has not yet been processed, dispatched, collected from the supplier, or scheduled for delivery, Zaniture may cancel the order and arrange a refund where applicable.
If the order has already been processed, dispatched, collected, or scheduled for delivery, cancellation may be subject to reasonable costs already incurred.
Zaniture may cancel an order if:
- Payment fails;
- Stock is unavailable;
- The product was incorrectly priced or listed;
- Delivery cannot reasonably be completed;
- Fraud or suspicious activity is suspected;
- The customer provides incorrect or incomplete information.
20. Product assembly and installation
Unless expressly stated, prices do not include assembly, installation, mounting, electrical connection, plumbing connection, or removal of old furniture/appliances.
If assembly or installation is offered, it must be agreed separately and may be subject to additional charges.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that appliances and furniture are installed or used safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
21. Warranties
Some products may include supplier or manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms may differ depending on the product, supplier, or manufacturer. Zaniture will assist customers where reasonably possible with warranty-related enquiries, but warranty approval may depend on the supplier or manufacturer.
Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, unauthorised repairs, incorrect assembly, improper installation, accidents, normal wear and tear, or use contrary to product instructions.
22. Website content and intellectual property
All content on the Zaniture website, including text, graphics, logos, images, layout, design, product descriptions, and branding, belongs to Zaniture or its licensors/suppliers unless otherwise stated.
Customers may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or use website content without written permission from Zaniture.
23. Personal information and privacy
Zaniture collects and processes personal information to operate the website, process orders, arrange delivery, communicate with customers, manage accounts, prevent fraud, and provide customer support.
Personal information may include names, contact details, delivery addresses, billing information, order details, and communication records.
Zaniture will handle personal information in accordance with applicable South African privacy requirements and its Privacy Policy.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
24. Marketing communication
Zaniture may send customers service-related messages about orders, delivery, payments, support, or account activity.
Marketing messages may only be sent where permitted. Customers may unsubscribe from marketing communication where applicable.
25. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zaniture will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from delays, website downtime, supplier issues, or events beyond Zaniture’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights that customers may have under applicable South African consumer protection law.
26. Force majeure
Zaniture will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform where caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to supplier delays, transport disruptions, severe weather, strikes, power outages, system failures, accidents, unrest, or government restrictions.
27. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
Zaniture may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The latest version published on the website will apply to all orders placed after the date of publication.
Customers are encouraged to review these Terms before placing an order.
28. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be handled in accordance with South African law and, where applicable, through appropriate consumer protection or dispute resolution channels.
